Xichi Wang, MD, PhD
Majoring in clinical medicine, Xichi Wang received his Bachelor Degree in the First Clinical College, Wuhan University. He is studying cardiovascular surgery in Wuhan Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College and in parallel pursues his PhD studies. During the visiting program of 18 months at Harvard Medical School, he will be engaged in the field of biomaterials and nanotechnology for medical applications. His research interests involve nanotechnology, tissue engineering, as well as biomaterials. He enjoys movies, reading and sports. Aram Akbarzadeh, PhD(c)
Aram is a PhD candidate in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Her research interest has been focused on organ and tissue engineering mainly application of different protocols for decellularization of various tissues/ whole organs of small, medium and large size laboratory animals and some tissue and organ with human or fetal sources as well as in vivo recellularization by autologous mesenchymal stem cells.
Her PhD thesis focuses on the human size total heart decellularization and recellularization of cardiac patch via coronary artery perfusion of green florescent protein fetal cardiomyocytes.

Andres is a Medical Doctor graduated from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education in 2017. He is interested in pediatric and immunological medicine. My name is Carolina Elizondo, I’m from Monterrey, Mexico and I’m studying my Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology Engineering. I have always been interested in research, so I have participated in many projects in the FEMSA Biotechnology Center. I have been part of the iGEM competition for 3 years and I have a special interest in synthetic biology and medical research, especially in molecular diagnostics.

I am Erika Lopez and I was born in Puebla, Mexico. I am studying nanotechnology and Chemical Sciences. I am going to be working on the Molecular Nanosystems group for the next six months. I have experience in Micro and nano fabrication and I have been working at the Water Center For Latin America and the Caribbean on an enzyme project. I am really interested in learning nanotechnology applications and I am looking forward to learn from all the people in the lab.
